Entering a Room
To enter a ClackPoint room from the Google Talk web or desktop client, simply add “conference@clackpoint.com” as a contact, begin a chat, and enter the command
.enter <your-room-number> [requested-nickname]
Requesting a nickname is optional; if you do not, then ClackPoint will attempt to construct a nickname for you based on your Google Talk username.
Once you are in a room, all the ClackPoint commands are supported.
Leaving a Room
Simply enter
.leave
to leave the room.
Room Audio from Google Talk
Screenshots below are from the Google Talk desktop client for Windows but the experience with the web client should be very similar.
When you enter a ClackPoint room via the Google Talk client, ClackPoint detects this and enables audio calling on the ClackPoint contact, depicted by the small green telephone handset that appears to the right of the contact entry.
If you now attempt to call the ClackPoint contact, you will enable your audio in the room. If you wish to stop using audio in the room, simply hangup the call as normal. You will not actually leave the room until you enter the .leave command.
