ClackPoint Gadgets (beta)
ClackPoint can be embedded into third party websites such as social networks. Embedding ClackPoint enables your users to collaborate while staying on your site, giving a rich communication experience.
After loading, members and visitors to your site will be placed into a conference room in which they can track each other's presence, instant message each other, and dial-in using their browser or telephone. The gadget also provides a shared notes editor for group note-taking, a slides viewer for presentations, and for those dialled-in through their browser, video communication.
Gadgets are currently available for Google Friend Connect enabled websites. Installation instructions for the gadget are provided in the menu to the right, as well as a set of dedicated help pages to get you and your users started. While in beta, ClackPoint gadgets are free although some limitations may apply.
What's the difference between the gadget and clackpoint.com?
The gadget experience is pretty close to that of the clackpoint.com site, but there are a few differences:
- Each gadget installation provides just a single room, dedicated to that installation. clackpoint.com provides multiple rooms distinguished by their room number.
- Gadget users can connect by web or telephone. clackpoint.com users can connect by web, telephone, Skype and Google Talk. If you'd like to enable Skype or Google Talk access via your installed gadget, get in touch and we'll see what we can do.
